Contemporary Art that shows the American culture?
I have to find two pieces that are contemporary American culture in recent 10. I chose my topic as war, and that is what has been part of our society over the last decade and I want to show how we come together as a nation. The problem is I can not use the photos of documentary may be photographs, etc, but must document an event. example, I would use the twin towers with the firefighters raising the flag, but it is clear documentary .. Any ideas? Thanks need two reflecting contemporary American culture, and one that goes against it. Any ideas? I'm having trouble finding such recent art.
León Ferrari, Western and Christian Civilization is good. It was made in 1965, but caused such an uproar that was great more or less taken out and decided to show again I think in 2001?
