Is it possible that someone like art and drawing but was not interested in museums?
I'm considering a career in art (with the cartoon), but Unfortunately I really have no interest in going to art museums (except for rare and occasional painting I really like). Most artists I like are more contemporary, such as Sam Weber, Tiffany Boziac, Kazu Kibuishi, Amy Kim Kibuishi, Eric Huerta, and Hayao Miyazaki. And to top it off, I have taken a final decision hours to present the best of my portfolio to an art school with the deadline to 15 March. To make matters worse, I have no set of drawings to include in it, and I have to complete three projects. Help. ACK, what I mean is that I'm not really all that fascinated with artists who study or art history (though I did get along with it a course).
I do not think this is a "hobby" thing as a "recognition" thing. I am a firm believer that you can not appreciate where if we do not know where we came from. I'm just a HUGE art history, and I love … I find it fascinating to know the people behind the art. why he painted what people were like … not just artists. and did you know that Michelangelo HATE painting? his passion was sculpture, but would not know to look in the chapel Sistine right? also, much of what has happened in art has been a reflection of what has happened in history. people paint what they know, and the parallel is incredible. Not I'm saying you have to love every piece of art, but at least it should have an interest in the history of his career path. will help in the long term.
