Li Songsong Biography and works of art

Li Songsong was born on 1973 in Beijing, China. Lives and works in Beijing, China. His painting was the kind of boxes of candy iron playing as a kid. Its title was "Candy Beijing." There was another called "Digging," which depicted some digging trenches soldiers. More than two paintings painted between 1997 and 1999. At that time, just graduated from college and there was not much to do at home for whom he painted. This way of thinking was not particularly active at the time.
He "Horse" in June 2001. He began to paint these pictures during the summer, when he met some old photographs. Originally I wanted to paint something that had a certain distance from reality. He believes that building a scene in the painting, representing things or a feeling of real life, was not as interesting.
Li Songsong deliberately plays the possible consequences of the images he chooses for his pictures eliminating their personal feelings of these images by adopting a procedure for arms length for their work. He breaks his images in segments without regroups squeeze through and blocks of different shades of color in his painting. For National Geographic, Li downloaded more than a hundred small photographs of the details of Taiwan Island "Google Earth", a website mapping based satellite images, and rebuilt a collage of Taiwan for each share representing in thick lines and bold painting.
The painting of soldiers digging trenches, for example, was an image that was by accident. He was attracted by the process of searching the photographs. When looking at pictures in books, usually what happens when we understand the meaning in them. He painted this picture, probably because He looked so closely. It was a very simple picture: some people in uniform were digging into the ground in a vacant lot. After reading the explanation, realized that people were digging a trench volunteer soldiers during the Korean War. If you look at a picture long enough, you can discover other meanings in it. He had also painted images of television, the portrait of the late Deng Xiaoping, for example. By the time he spent his picture was on television every day. I took a photo and painted his portrait. But he did not continue with this kind of issues, including the box of candy. Maybe he wanted to paint some existing things and clothing at the time. But he did not want to draw a person in a conventional type of space. I wanted the original image to be something one-dimensional.
Conclusions:
Li Songsong had already established his own style and the impact of the work had gained a solid reputation in art circles Chinese.
