As for my history of art classes taught me that the main feature Baroque was that there was no room for silence or empty .. architecture and music, for example, was filled with sculptures and all notes, and basically in those days people was somewhat worried and fearful of facing a new reality in their society. now, its very clear that today we are full of information, advertising, media, internet .. everything is information and there's no room for silence or the emptiness, our lives are full and do not want to face ourselves. for all I know, the main similarities between the Baroque and now its over everything and nothing.
