Stained Glass is about creativity that is pure excitement, passion and yes fun satisfaction. This happens when you least expect it for some it happens while staying in a cabin on the beach. The salty air, seashells and interesting things lying on the beach awakening creativity. Stained glass art and craft is born every day in the souls of those who need to do something.
Creativity equals satisfaction. Creativity must be affordable and accessible for everyone.
Stained glass art is a passion but at the same time half the people are attracted by the textures, and infinite colors. It is different from drawing, pottery and other art forms, however, merge all other means of finding a new way of seeing our world.
Unfortunately, many people who attend demonstrations of the art of stained glass as a decorative art. Often I will tell an acquaintance that I own a stained glass business and automatically asks me if I could make them a host of sun screen, or perhaps a side. Most people do not understand the cost of glass, paper, wine and welding, not to mention the patina and the use of tools and time.
Most of those who walk in Wal-Mart can find a stained glass lamp $ 20. The problem is that you probably bought something made in China and was sad for someone who earned a few cents so great Wal-Mart could profit off of wages slaves. Another concern is that due to a profit margin that makes most of the stained glass lamps or sun shots should be spared in the types of materials and the amount of materials they use.
It was mentioned recently by a stained glass artist in Roanoke, Virginia, which have been mandated to arrange stained glass pieces made in China and realized that the parts were not welded properly. It comes down to that you get what you pay for.
Another strong association for many of us is the religious art in the windows of the church. These are all attractive and appropriate uses of the windows, but lately I've noticed using the churches in Roanoke opaque instead of transparent glass. There is a glass design of some very thought that I would hang.
It is exciting to see contemporary art glass. Stained glass as a hobby it is easy to learn, and it is easy on the hands and finally do not have time to say knitting. Is a great hobby to retirement communities, home schooled children and after-care programs. In fact, I made the stained glass panels with 10 children ages 9-13.

Stained glass is often called an architectural form of art, because it is usually part of a building. However, the work can serve two distinct functions within the architectural framework. Some architectural works are in the design, which includes abstract or geometrical features that are continuous with or reflect the lines and shapes in other building components, or perhaps modify aspect of the world beyond the window. The architect is trying to create a new site. The connection that the window in the wall of the building is not seen as a connection between exterior and interior, but as a framework for art and the daylight is used to bring the image to life.
Glass of different degrees of transparency is used to objects or what is beyond the window can be visible through it. They become part of the work – dynamic because they are subject to different conditions lighting.
Stained glass is nice for those looking at their beauty and the miracle that the average person can do. So take a bit of glass and do something you do not have to hang on your refrigerator, but in his window.
