Gary Adcock was born in New York in 1950. He is an architect, having practiced professionally for nearly thirty years. After eight years in Tokyo as president of a successful architectural firm, Gary decided to make his lifelong passion for the study drawing and painting of the Old Italian masters, and a full basic training at the Academy of Art in Florence. Since then, carried out a successful career as a painter of still life, the Italian landscape and portraiture. He paints these issues in refined, elegant, "old world" craftsmanship with the emotional breadth contemporary realism. In his de'Macci Studio in Florence which gives private instruction in this genre to serious students worldwide. Gary also teaches at the Academy of Art in Florence during the summer workshops. His work is in private collections. I'm trying to find the other paintings in this collection.
