Contemporary Art Vase

That rug really ties the room together …?

I have dark brown (chocolate half, I call it) warm modern style sofa leather love seat in a white room with ceilings 10 feet (I can not paint). The floors are oak, as is a textbook case (modern lines, arts and crafts style details.) The feet of the sofa is a dark walnut color. The accent pieces in the room yellow hues (works of art, vases, cushions). What kind of carpet should I get? The colors, the patterns? Links to examples would be awesome. I am more and more furniture, but I think that the rug could really warm up the room. I'm worried about getting something that sounds too contemporary country or against the modern lines of furniture.

A rug with geometric patterns or pattern would be better to highlight the straight lines found in the rest of the room … add more straight lines on the carpet it would by repetition, and circles to achieve the same, but when contrasted against the straight lines in place. Find a carpet with beige, brown, rust, gold, and perhaps some gray-blue or gray green, just to add some additional interest. Check out some carpets have http://www.carpetconcept.ca/collections/index.html large format your catalog PDF to download, and you may find the following patterns of interest: Galleria 6302 and 6317, Infinity 32 215, 99 040 and 99 043 Nature, 54 036 Santorini. Print what one (s) you want, and take photos with you when you go shopping. Good luck!
