WHO CAN PARTICIPATE ?
All productions will be admitted, whatever their geo-graphical origin, provided they belong to the follow-ing categories : documentary, video-art, fiction.

THE JURY
The jury will be composed of vídeo specialists, tele-vision professionals and culture experts.

THE PRIZES
20 "DIFFUSION TV" Prizes : 600 euros each
1 "OPERA PRIMA VIDEO" Great Prize : 2500 euros
1 "VIDEO AUTHOR " Great Prize : 2500 euros
1 "MULTIMEDIA" Great Prize : 1500 euros

REGULATIONS
• 1 > May compete original creation videos, CD-Rom or web sites, based on a personal and artistic approach.
• 2 > Videos, CD-Rom or web sites sent for competition will be preselected. Videos should be sent on VHS tape. Attached to each work should be sent the com-pleted application form, author's curriculum vitae, a picture from the work. The entry form is available on our website.
• 3 > Authors of the videos awarded in the frame of "DIFFUSION TV" Awards will give up rights of total or partiel broadcast of their works to channels belonging to Televisió de Catalunya or France 3 Sud, and will accept broadcast conditions proposed by these channels. In case where authors or producers would not be interested in such a broadcast, they will nevertheless be allowed to compete for the Great Prizes of the festival.
• 4 > As far as videos selected for competition are con-cerned, broadcast system is BETACAM.
• 5 > The video and multimedia works not selected for competition will be available for viewing during the festival at the free access "vidéo à la carte".
• 6 > Each video in a language different from French, Catalan or English have to be French or English sub-titled.
• 7 > The deadline for receiving the video tapes or CD-Rom and entry forms, one by work, is May 31th 2001. Videos should have a maximun length of 30 minutes. No work produced prior to 01/01/2000 should be sub-mitted. The credit titles must be complete. For customs clearance purpose, each parcel must have the following inscription : "video tape -or CD-Rom- /not for trade".
• 8 > The VHS tapes and the CD-Rom sent for prese-lection will not be sent back. Applicants who would like to get them back will have to attach to their post-mail the amount of return. All award winning works will be kept by the associa-tion and may be used after the festival for non com-mercial promotional purposes. Non award winning video tapes of the competition will be returned no later than 2 months after the fes-tival.
• 9 > The members of the jury are not eligible to enter the competition as authors or producers. The decision of the jury is final.
• 10 > The festival will not be held responsible for delays in the payment of awards, as they are spon-sored by other organizations.
  Participation in the festival implies full acceptance of the above regulations.
